  millions affected.. how many prayed in vain to stop the quaking, keep a loved one from dying, or for saftey?

  I think people are scared to put him on trial so to speak. People have been conditioned to believe he's acting when good things happen to them. So they say stupid ish like "Oh I was a (insert seedy underbelly thing here), and I don't do that anymore so god pulled me through yes he did, yes he did" and why? Because a bullet missed you? Bad aim. You got out of that wreck? Seat belts, air bags, speed, trajectory, inertia. I mean really. This is the dude who clearly acted by parting Red Seas and leaking water from rocks and keeping Shad, Rad and Abed from looking all Freddy Krugerish and now, NOW he's reduced to saving some via bordering on the advancement of technology while letting quakes, tsunamis and Bermuda Triangle zap the others? .......And then the radio announcer continues his statement that the white mouse WILL NOT EXPLODE while Tom stands up from the rubble that was once his house and says "Don'ttttttttt youuuuuu believe it"

  i'm still just trying to understand ..... what is the real essence of why the leaders at the very core of this religion do what they do?

  i assume they are all in the 144k, so i get that.

  but i mean ... that can't be the entire motivation for all this misery.

  "The program Smith has grown beyond your control"...... This religion is the lie that has to keep going. They aren't gonna come out and say, hey we phukked up. From Microsoft and their XBox to NBC and their Late Night, companies don't admit wrong often, and WTBTS is no different. Imagine the fallout from families of people who died because of blood refusal, or all the years of staying abstinent. There'd be angry baby-carrying mobs out in the streets! The horror.

  A Superior Intelligent Creator Of the Universe or Universes Would He Be Emotional?

  suppose that a superior intelligence created everything in the universe and for all we know ours could be just one of an infinite number of universes which seems to be very plausible these days but no way of knowing for sure (yet).. would such a creator match up with the personality of the biblical deity?

  would such a creator be filled with emotional jealousy over worship given to other deities as false as they may be, and becoming enraged to the point of annihilating those who worshipped albeit false gods.. would his anger blaze over some relics he gave his people to symbolize his presents and they mishandled them like the case of uzzah who tried to steady the ark of the covenant?.

  would he get angry at his creation adam& eve who were as the bible says innocent and had no knowledge of good and bad and so ate of the fruit and were kicked out of paradise to suffer and raise offspring doomed to suffer over a trifle that they committed while ignorant and naked?.

  "He's at home! Washing his tights!" Seriously he doesn't give a rat's $#!+ stain about us. Not only this event but think of all the people who have died collectively over thousands of years. From the casualties of natural disasters, not so natural deaths like wars, and yes, even the 60 something year old grandmom who dies in her sleep, all of this, every part is supposedly under this "new system warranty" where NOONE HAS TO DIE EVER. All it would take is for god to do what he's supposedly going to do anyways. So what is he waiting for? Since he is without time, doing it now as opposed to whenever in the future it's no difference between the two. The only difference being that you and I may have died before then, so really, what is he waiting for?

  let's say my great great great great grandfather was over in japan at the time of his death, and i was in us at the time of mine, and my future kids circa 2078 died in austrailia.

  During this 1000 years after Har-dee-har-harr, how are we to know who is related to us or not? One of the big selling points is that we'll see loved ones/family again. Let's say my great great great great grandfather was over in Japan at the time of his death, and I was in US at the time of mine, and my future kids circa 2078 died in Austrailia. How will we all get together in this new system? My great grandfather will have only known the people he dealt with in his time, I will know mine and my kids will know theirs. Is god gonna go around introducing generations of the same family to members of said family? Our family being scattered around the Earth, will we all be localized/herded together? I believe this is an issue that should (but won't) be addressed by the dubs. And if it is, it's because they pulled something off the top of their a$$, put a garnish on it, and said "Oh well, he'll do this or that" and that's equal to truth to them. Religion blows. :(

  How accurate is the Worldwide Report

  i was talking with the cong secretary the other day and he told me that all reports are rounded up before they are sent to the society.

  i was just starting to think about how all this rounding up has an impact on the overall totals.. some publishers may round up or guesstimate their figures reporting additional time, congregation secretaries round up the cong report anything from 15 minutes to 45 minutes.

  when you start extrapollating that across all the publishers and all congregations the margin of error becomes enormous.. the report becomes less meaningful each month by the end of the year we are potentially millions of hours adrift of the actual number.

  I'd say the society wants reported time so they can keep tabs on them. If the report comes in and multiple halls are slipping, they send in the DO or CO. If it's within a single cong, then the have an elder jump in your face.

  A couple weeks ago my outta town dub uncles and aunts came in from Philly and of course being that the family is here WE ALL have to go to the We'redumb Hall. The WT topic was about jealousy, and the good parts and bad parts of it. The first thing I thought of is "Is god not jealous?" Basically saying, "I gotta have you serve me, and if you can't do that well I'm gonna have to kill you." I mean real Kathy Bates in Misery type $#!+. So the brudduh on stage when on to read some verse in the bible and then he said "We can replace the J in jealous with a Z and say that he is a zealous god. Well S of a B if we're just gonna go around replacing letters in words to make them into other words then what's the point in following the bible? They also made a point about clearing up misunderstandings between oneself and another so both can be understood. Uhh....what? So what about the guy at the door who believes strongly in what he believes? Do they try to understand or do they write them off as being a householder to avoid because he's a tough Brazillian nut? Also, who's more of the transforming into a beacon of light type? The householder or the JW? The householder (in demonstrations) mostly gives a negative response "Don't wanna talk right now, my (any random thing here) just (any random happening or event here)" and what does the JW do? They go and pull an Optimus Prime and say some junk like "Well what if I told you there'd be a time when (blankety blank) wouldn't happen anymore?" Isn't this a type of transformation? There was a "no", even though it wasn't strict enough, it was still a "no" and they rebuttal. They're like the telemarketers of the religous world.

  It's like the uncle who came by and pulled a quarter out of your ear. Back then we were all OMFG how did he do that? and it generally stumped a lot of kids I'm sure. Here you have mankind in their infancy amazed at such parlor tricks, and couple that with how people "see what they want to see" even if the truth proves their mind a discrepancy, and you've got a recipe for disaster souffle.

  why do people idolize other people such as the 'famous' in film, music or sports or even in 'the congregation'?.

  why do people 'look up' to or 'look down' on other people?.

  i thought the bible teaches that we are all equal!.

  Well they're only famous because they're on TV or movies. These are people that studios place in front of us and it's a type of pedastal. Here, one man or woman can be seen by millions of people, but the guy or girl up the street? I don't know them, who cares? That's the mentality.

  now, leaving out silly numbers and 1914, which was blown away years ago, what do such apocalyptic doom-mongerers have from scripture to give this idea credence ?.

  the only thing i can think of , apart from the "cry of peace and security " which is no proof at all, is daniels dream image in dan chap.
